This debate on the personality of the ex-modeler arose from a statement accredited to her one time friend, Toke Makinwa,a Rhythmn 93.7 radio Presenter,before the modeler possibly gossiped with her name. Two camps are created by this statement. One camp stands with Linda and encouraged her to continue doing that which she knows best no matter whose ox is gourd. The other camp dismissed Linda as unserious element sniffing around to meddle with peoples’ affairs. For Linda, she finds joy in what she is doing so long as it fuels her car and pays other bills and does not bother the feelings of the people involved. Well, that shows a high level of insensitivity in a bid to make money from peoples private issues.
Whether for or against are ok. One truth is that every grown adult is a kind of model to another whether for good or evil. For instance, parents of new babies used to run after folks to be God fathers or mothers to their children at baptism because some good or moral qualities were found in them which they wished to be inculcated in their children as the later relates with the godparents. The underlining thought for this Godfather-son relationship is that of role model. Therefore, many if not all are role models in one form or the other whether famous at national or universal levels or at one corner in an obscure village. For this reason many became godparents to a number of children and married couples on their wedding days within their localities. Now whether the supposed role models keep to the morals or character that endeared them to the parents of the new babies or new couples for which they were elected is a different ball game. In fact, many parents are shockingly disappointed to realize that those to whom their children’s moral-fare is committed to have turned to be the great corrupters of the time.
Role model could be positive or negative depending on the side one belongs. In this the saying, one man’s meat another’s poison becomes very true. The word role model which means person one admires and tries to copy, though most times use in the positive, does not always represent good and positive lifestyles.
The supporters of Linda found her gossips satisfying while that of Toke found it disgusting. This divide is virtually seen in every activity under the sun. The whole world has never with one accord approved or disapproved a thing call it same sex marriage, terrorism, Wall Street occupation etc. While some people would call for the head of the individual considered to have done absurd things, others would want crown him with many crowns if possible.
For Linda, she is a role model whether Toke cares to believe it or not. To her blog followers she is also one. Linda’s adolescent story during her school days at University of Lagos, when she could not give her body to a man because of financial pressure is her claim as a model which she would desire young women at school to learn from but was not bold to tell the world that she was a virgin at that time like Pam Shaw, who at 70 had no man friend nor spouse. Pam Shaw as a lone voice in a wilderness could be reverenced for virginity preservation at such a golden age and at same time despised for cabaret dancing by same persons who respected her virgin decision. Many are role models in respective life endeavours but few could be found as all rounder when moral question is involved. So, for strong points one is hallowed and despised for a gross weakness. For Linda, the actual reason for refusing a man she has previously been accepting financial gifts from might be more of lack of love and willingness to share such intimacy with that individual and the case could have been different if he met her expectations for an ideal man to sleep with. What is different if she sleeps with a boy friend who in turn helps her out with finances when need arises?
And if she was a virgin, whether she has kept to it until the time of writing which would have qualified for a good role model. Someone could overcome temptation once but might not all the time.
To me she is a role model either way it is viewed. I like the design of her beautiful blog and desire to learn from her, how she rakes money through a number of adverts on the face of her blog each time I visit the site. The site is simply attractive and appealing too.
She is also an informant of the good and bad happenings in our society. If for any reason you lost touch with events in the country once a visit is made to her wonderful blog she brings you to track. She has equally used her platform to speak against injustice for the voiceless. However, her other side of role modeling is negative and not appealing to my personality because it is considered as riding on wheels of perversion when she wrote a controversial article, “I do not enjoy penetrative sex” though some people were thrilled judging from responses that followed the write up. It is not good image making for a woman to be shrouded in controversy all the time.
I was never moved to write on Oral sex despite the questions people posed to various Heart Clinics and their funny encouraging answers to this evil practice nor x rated related materials spam flooding my blog after the article on Breast War, a satanic verse until I came across Miss Linda Ikeji’s lamentation on her article, “I do not enjoy penetrative sex” and the later question of being a role model, then it became necessary to contribute to the discussion. It is obvious that what was perceived as sexual escapades of the unlearned has reached a feverish point that the educated has joined the trend. Men and women alike are forcing this awkward and outlandish sexual behaviour on their spouses and partners daily in search of pleasure. And while some homes are heat up because spouses with some moral fiber resist to submit to the inordinate, humiliating and absurd demands from beast-partners making the former to seek advice from relationship counseling clinics on electronic and print media, Linda in one hand joined other fellows to promoting a trend that is sentencing the society to an eternal damnation through the article. This may have contributed to Toke’s question on validity of her role model.
Apart from alerting the society of her being single and available, lack of sexual partner and circumcision went further to include her preference to oral sex than penetrative sex. Going farther from the reach of her limited mindset during the write up is the selection of a dirty group of men as suitors; men who can descend so low on her when she pleases which is awful to read from a supposed descent lady looking out for Mr. Right. A role model is defined by the public as one that positively impacts good and moral virtues, though the society has been disappointed on this expectation by some acclaimed role models yet there exist many holding tenaciously in a morally compromised terrain the principles of role modeling.
As a blogger too hers is among the blogs I visit from time to time because of a beautiful layout, adverts and some controversial issues she writes. But this edition draws an interest based on it’s implication on the society, the various sides of comments from readers and for the fact that some followers of her blog might be misled. Whether she meant to expose her “private life” to the public for opinions or chose the topic to feel a societal response to a sensitive and controversial issue of this kind is what I am yet to come terms with. It has bothered my mind since then how the considered literate, role model, religious and moral conservatives are swallowing fast evil pills from the west without looking back nor up to God’s face to feel his pleasure. And being convinced further that notwithstanding the gorgeousness and neat appearances some societal people of this continent put on, have been so influenced to become dirtier inside than expected of the unregenerate of African society.
In her words…I’ve never really enjoyed sex. And I blame it on the fact that I was circumcised. Some things were cut off, so there was no much sensation down there.
I mean, I enjoy intimacy and when the tongue was at work… *Cough*…but penetration was a different case.
While it is a sheer courage to write counter article on a line considered filthy based on moral and spiritual convictions that the trend is evil though gaining fast acceptance by the society, the piece is not to attack the personality of Miss Ikeji rather the trend she has come to follow. Like other past articles that seem to address individual flaws, the personalities in question were simply victims of spiritual ignorance and societal manipulations which any untutored person can fall prey too. And for the fact that the persons being famous are like houses built on hills which cannot be hidden from the eyes taking the flaws up become very necessary. The famous have crowd of followers who imitate their idols no matter how dirty and unpopular their views are. That is why advertising companies chase and pay fabulous amounts to have Artists feature on their products adverts. Linda is an ex-model, author and has some followers on her blog who delight in some things she writes. Such followers could without second thought gulp down every piece of garbage delivered from her writings.
This argument is nullified by the fact that man is not an animal but an image of God. Man has spirit, soul and a body, the nearest animal with body similar to man does not have spirit and soul. Animals are not created in the likeness of God nor given instructions, laws or commandments to keep which will be accounted for at last day before God. Animals have no eternal existence after this life and for short were simply created to serve as food to man and without highly developed knowledge to understand evil or good like man. Above all God created them in their own nature, therefore, those who equate themselves to animals should think appropriately. Animals do not have monthly discharge which women folks do have and has been proven to be prone to contamination with infectious disease that can lead to cancer. And persons given to lip service have every high chance of being infected with mouth cancer.
Second reason being advanced is that of preserving male or female virginity, due to its non-procreative nature. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and every woman have her own husband. What is the need to keep virginity once someone is married? Then Jesus added that whosoever looks at a woman and lust after her has already committed adultery or fornication with her in the heart. So if lusting in the heart is transgression of God’s commandment much more is the lip service and other non penetrative sexual acts people indulge in.

Now the questions researcher would answer are whether all cases of miscarriages are results from sexual relationships during pregnancies? Why do some women who totally abstain from the relationship during pregnancies still have miscarriages and those who engage in the same do not have? Why are men encouraged to sleep with their pregnant wives at certain stage of development to assist child formation in the womb? Why will God condemn it if there is need for the act?

The deteriorating state of the environment is also contributing to the rising rate of cancer in China
Going by this research and other case of hypertension risk factor in china it is obvious that believe in oral sex as insurance for longevity is a mere deception. For if it is so, it would have prevented the numerous deaths taking place in china which is said to be over I million from smoking and pollution alone and will account to have the highest lung cancer patients world wide.
Now consider this, of what use to go against God’s word to gain longevity or any other material benefits? The bible records that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness….. for this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature; like wise also the men, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;……backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful; who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Rom1;18-31. Jesus taught whom men shall fear, neither sickness, Satan nor death but he who has the power to kill the flesh and cast the soul into hell fire, and that is God.
In the light of the above eternal damnation and health implication, it is inappropriate for any person to join the wagon of the perishing for sake of adventurous pleasure.
